    Factors contributing to child abuse and neglect in primary schools in Limuru district in Kiambu county

    Child abuse is a terrible thing in our society. There are many conditions that make parents and other adults to abuse children. Yet ,despite our collective revulsion at child abuse and despite the fact that we are aware of the contributing conditions to child abuse ,the rates at which children are neglected or abused continue at terrifyingly high levels .This study outlines a research proposal to determine the factors that contributes to child abuse in Limuru District Kiambu county. Multiple methods of data collection will be used. First, data will be collected through individual interviews with learners, teachers and parents. Second, a discussion method will be used to collect data such as the different types of child abuse, common abusers and how to curb child abuse. Third, questionnaires for regular teachers and head teachers of various schools in Limuru District Kiambu County. Finally, document analyze the level of child abuse, in Limuru District Kiambu county.
