dc.description.abstractThe research project will preserve an overview of the investigation on the factors that affect enrollment and retention of girls in public primary schools in Kitui West District. This study will establish the challenges faced by girls in primary Education depending on their customs background and family status. The researcher will investigate some of the practices which will result to low enrollment and retention of girls in school such as early marriages, domestic chores pregnancy and lack of facilities in schools. The researcher will help parents and teachers with information on the need of educating all children irrespective of gender. The researcher will use survey method to carry out the project. Random sampling method will be used to identify children who fall under the age of 4-6 years purposive sampling will be used to determine the sample size. The researcher will use the observation interviews and questionnaires to collect data on the task. Data collected will be presented in form of tables, pie charts and graphs.en_US
