The purpose of the study was to assess the training and development on employee performance in oil marketing firms in Nairobi, Kenya. The research design used a descriptive survey. The population of the study included three simple randomly selected oil marketing firms in Nairobi. The researcher used stratified random sampling technique to select the 60 respondents in total of all the 3 companies who formed the sample population size for the study. Data was collected through questionnaires. Data analysis used regression analysis, descriptive analysis, and cross tabulations.
