Girls were found to perform as well as boys so performance does not contribute to girls dropping out of school. It was found that education is mostly affected by different social and economic factors such as lack of fees, food, FGM e.t.c. The researcher have found that cultural practices e.g FGM contribute 83.3% of dropout of girls which is the greatest factor found. It was recommended that the government should help educate those communities straying behind on the importance of education to all genders. They should also educate on the negatives of FGM and early marriages. The government should also come up with economic activities in such areas in order to help parents provide basic needs to their siblings.en_US
