Challenges faced by primary head teachers in implementing free Primary education in Mbeere North Embu district

Abstract

The researcher investigated the challenges faced by primary school headteachers in implementing free primary education in Mbeere North district, Embu County. The researcher achieved the following objectives; identified how the management of school is after implementation of free primary education, effects of the primary on performance, effectiveness of free primary education and identified the possible ways of improving the free primary education. In order to accomplish this task, the researcher used a quick impressionist summary by summarizing key findings and later written evaluations, interpretations and making conclusion. Study recommended that more teachers should be posted in that area to address the shortage of teachers. Again more funds should also be given to schools to enable them by teaching resources necessary to make education more successful.
