| dc.description.abstract | This research proposal will investigate the effects of drug abuse in learning in schools in Mutomo zone in Mutomo District, Kitui County. It will target trained teachers, children and parents. The proposal will be used to elevate the mostly abused drugs, the causes of drug abuse, effects of drug abuse and the control measures to be taken to eliminate drug and substance abuse. In this study the researcher will help the community to understand the mostly abused drugs and the effects of drug abuse in school learning. The researcher will also assist, the local administration in effecting the right measure to curb the bad use of drugs on teachers, children and parents. This research proposal will help policy makers to improve and safeguard issues pertaining to children welfare and make the learning in schools calm for children. It will also help the Non- Governmental institutions to rally well in analyzing problems caused by mis-use of drugs in the zone. The researcher will analyze some of the factors contributing to drug abuse which includes relaxation, peer pressure,advertisement, modeling superstition, frustration. The study will target 10 children, 5 trained teachers and 5 parents. This research proposal will use survey design, questionnaire and interview tools or instrument to collect data. The study will eventually use bar graphs, tables and pie charts to analyze the data collected and present the data in the manner that will improve minimize the drug abuse in the community | en_US |
