dc.description.abstractThere are many aspects for special needs education which have not been fully addressed. Among these aspects include hearing impairment. Hearing impairment is among learning disorders which has caused great alarm in the field of education. Educationists and professionals have founded it very difficult to cope up with it.It is this perplexion that the research decided to venture into. He noted with great concern that learners with hearing impairment face many challenges. These challenges not only face these learners at home, but also at school and the community in which they stay. The 10schools in Kalundu zone, Kitui County and were selected by census. Stratified random sampling was used to obtain teacher’s making a total 60 respondents. Questionnaires were used to collect data and validation was by expert judgment. Reliability of the instrument was determined using pearson’s correlation coefficient. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics such as percentages. The results were presented in tables.en_US
