Abstract
Academic performance of pupils has been confirmed to be greatly influenced by organizations management of schools. The head teacher services both administrative and academic perspectives of leadership and management Performance in public primary schools in Gatundu North have not been performing as expected owing the fact that the centrality of head teachership in performance of pupils, various government and institutions initiatives have been implemented as a way of ensuring better academic outcomes. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of supervisory role on pupil’s performance in public primary schools in Gatundu North, Sub County, Kiambu County. The first chapter will comprise the background information statement of problem purpose of study research questions and objectives, significance of study and definition of terms. The second chapter will look into background issues related to literature of study Here the researcher will expand on issues on supervision according to findings of other prior research expects to adopt during actual filed study, its desire of the researcher to comprehensively give the methodology, research design population of study, sample of study, sampling procedures, data collection, data analysis strategic , as well as research instruments and /or instrumentation Stratified random sampling is to be used to generate sample size of 20 head teachers from the three zones. Census sampling will be used to generate sample size of the three zonal QASOS. The sample size was36% of the largest population and was statistically valid and representative. Data was conducted using questionnaire and guided interviews finding will be presented inform of tables, pie charts and graphs. Study achieved a response of 80%Study found that head teachers supervision role focusing on leadership and achievement of goals, should be emphasized to enhance educational outcomes.Further efficient instructional supervision can greatly influence the outcome of the educational programme. Even though study concluded that understanding the instructional program and opportunity the supervision of instruction enhances pupil’s excellence in KCPE performance the influence of other social, economic and psychological and environment factors needs to be investigated.The project has reference list of all sources used and cited in body of document.The proposal will carry with it the reference list of all sources used and cited in the body of this document.The wish of the researcher is to conduct and present plagiarism free documents, therefore al quotations will be properly cited and copy pasting method will be completely out of bounds.
