This passing year was memorable one in the history of the university. It saw the accreditation of the School of Medicine and subsequent admission of the first batch of students. It was also the first time when the university held two graduation ceremonies in one year. Students and staff shone in different curricular and co-curricular activities. Our student won the New York Marathon. New centres in Kericho, and Rusizi (Rwanda) underlined the ongoing efforts to improve learning infrastructure. Construction at Thika Main Campus (Senate Plaza), Nakuru, Kigali, Mombasa, Lodwar, Kakamega and Eldoret is ongoing. To cap it all, the university’s vision carrier Mr. Simon Gicharu became Dr. Simon Gicharu, thanks to a well deserved Honoris Causa from Gulu University. No doubt, 2014 will go down in the annals of history as one of the most fruitful, eventful years.en_US
