dc.description.abstractThe research will investigate the role of religion on drugs and substance abuse in Kenyan primary schools. The main objective of the study is to determine the relationship between religiosity and drugs and substance abuse in Kenyan primary schools. Three major religions that will be studied include; Christianity, Islamic and Hinduism. The research will employ purposeful and stratification sampling. 10 schools shall be picked randomly for data collection. The target population is the primary school pupils, teachers and head teachers in Mitaboni zone. Data collection will be done by use of self-assessment questionnaires which will be administered to the pupils, teachers and head teachers during planned visits to the schools. Both qualitative and quantitative data will be collected and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient which will be used to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variable. Data will be presented in form of tables and charts.en_US
