The main purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of improper human resource management of teachers on performance in laikipia East, laikipia county. The study covered a period of one month and it involved principals, and teachers. This study presumed that the subjects completed the research instruments accurately and truthfully and didn`t interact to affect the results of the study and the sample size was the representative of the large population. This study utilized a descriptive survey design and the target population was all the principals and teachers in the sub- County. A sample size of 21 subjects comprising of7 principals 14 teachers, took part in the study. The study used questionnaires to collect data. A pilot study was conducted in four schools in laikipia east sub county 4 principals, and 4 teachers, but was not included in the final study. The validity of the instruments was ascertained by the supervisor while the reliability of the instrument was tested by the use of Cranach Alpha Coefficient test. The researcher obtained an introductory letter from Mount Kenya University and a research permit from National Council for Research. The study was administered by the researcher herself to the participants and allowed them to respond to all items. . Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Specifically frequencies, percentages and means were used for quantative data while qualitative data was discussed mathematically. The results were presented in forms of tables and graphical illustrations. It was hoped that the findings of this study may be significant to curriculum developers. Ministry of education and other stake holders as they provide a picture of the improper human resource management of human resource of teachers.
