Effects of drug abuse in secondary schools in Kiunduani zone, Makindu district

Abstract

There has been an increasing trend in the number of secondary students abusing drugs and substance. This project aimed at investigating the effects of drug abuse in secondary schools situated at Kiunduani Zone, in Makindu District. The researcher shall use the available resources including students, parents and teacher to collect the useful data, analyze it, and make conclusions and recommendations towards reversing the situation. Appropriate research tools such as questionnaires are used effectively. The researcher shall use both qualitative and quantitative research approach so as to draw credible data and thus generate valid information for the benefit of all parties targeted. This project is one way towards achieving a drug abuse-free society and ensuring that Kenya achieves the development targets as detailed in the VISION 2030 and the universal Millennium Development Goals.
