dc.description.abstract | The study was carried out in Thiba secondary school in Kirinyaga county. Effective teaching and learning is highly dependent on the role of non-teaching staff. It was therefore necessary to carry out this research on the role of non-teaching staff in promoting effective teaching and learning on secondary schools. Data was corrected from the head teacher, 10 teachers, 5 non-teaching staffs and 40 students all from Thiba secondary school. The data was corrected using questionnaires. The study looked in to the role of non teaching staff in promoting effective teaching and learning in Thiba secondary school. The researcher employed case study research design. Questionnaires were designed to the various members of the school. The study had a target population of 331 members who include the head teacher, students ,teachers and non teaching staff. The head teacher, ten teachers, forty students and five non teaching staffs were sampled. The researcher used questionnaire as the main method of collecting data. The data was analyzed both qualitatively and quantitively. The study found out that the non teaching staff play an important role in promoting effective teaching and learning. | en_US |
