dc.description.abstractInstructional media play a fundamental role in promoting effective teaching and learning of science and other disciplines. Science being an activity oriented Subject requires learners to interact with instructional materials in order for them to concretize knowledge, gain process skills and attitude to apply in higher institutions of learning and solve day today scientific related problems in this technological advanced 21st century. The purpose of the study was to investigate how well instructional materials are utilized on teaching and learning of science in primary schools located in Bamba zone Ganze Sub – County. The research study intended to find out the trend of process skill development in primary school leavers using a descriptive survey design. This study targets a population of 2903 pupils in standard seven and eight, 54 teachers, 27 head teachers and I TAC tutor. The sample for the study was picked using purpose sampling, stratified sampling of schools based on the 6 clusters and voluntary sampling of pupils with equal gender inclusion. The research used questionnaires, interviews guides and observation as research instruments to conduct the study. Information collected using these research instruments was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in tables of frequencies, percentages, bar graphs and pie charts.en_US
