Influence of teacher’s years of experience on students Academic performance:a case study of Garissa sub-county Garissa county.

Abstract

This research investigated the influence of teachers’ years of teaching experience on students’ academic performance in Garissa division, Garissa County. Chapter one dealt with the background of the study, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, objectives of the study, research questions, operational terms definition, theoretical and conceptual framework. In chapter two both theoretical and conceptual frameworks have been reiterated showing independent, intervening and dependent variables. Resources were contacted hence yielding the information relevant to this research in the literature review. In chapter three the researcher will use procedures of research methods during data collection which includes research design, instruments, sample selection, population description, study procedures. In chapter four data collected by the use of research instruments for instance questionnaires and interviews were interpreted and presented in form of pie charts, tables and bar graphs. Finally, chapter five gives clear discussion of the whole project as per data collected from the field. Years of teaching experience in the teaching, profession is paramount in the teaching learning process since it plays significant role in boosting learners’ academic performance.
