Impact of drugabuse on academic performance in public Secondary school students in Mitubiri division, Murang’a county

Abstract

The case study is the effects of drugs and substance abuse on academic performance in Mitubiri Division. However the main objectives are to study the causes effects and strategies to curb drug and substance abuse. Among other significance of the study help the government agency make rules spread message and monitor things that affect health. The education stakeholders are able to come up with forums that will expose learners their consummation. Other departments such as rehabilitation centers, guidance and counseling clinics and NACADA get the skillful information to campaign against drugs and substance abuse. Researcher uses observational design and questionnaire. On data analysis descriptive methods was employed as well as tabulation table to consolidate the responses given in questionnaire and percentages to quantity the responses in exemplified form.
