dc.description.abstractThis study sought to access tom relationship between reinforcement and academic performance in primary school in Masinga District, Machakos County, Kenya. It aims at investigating the role of positive reinforcement to improve performance and impact of negative reinforcement on learners’ performance. It also tends to compare performance of private schools to that of public schools and establish relationship between student and teacher motivation and academic performance. The research will provide information that can be used by the ministry of education, policy makers school management ,parent ,teachers ,association to identify motivation factors that can be associated more with high performance among learners .The study will use survey research design as this will facilitate the collection of data from a large group. The methods of data collection will involves questionnaire and interviews and will be analyzed by utilization on both descriptive and interferential statisticsen_US
