An investigation into factors affecting primary school girls Education in Marsabit County
This is a study that will enlighten the reader on the factors affecting primary girl’s education in MARSABIT County. It is meant to highlight the various classroom, home, and school factors that have an impact on the education of primary school girls as well as the effect of the free primary education on the education of girls. The learning/classroom environment should be structured in such away that there is no gender disparity in the class. It must contain high level of personalization and participation so that various activities that take place in the class should be friendly to all pupils and not gender biased. The teachers’ positive behavior is important in promoting the education of girls. A well-structured classroom is an essential element for achievement of proper education of primary girls. The teaching strategies as well as the general classroom environment must be congruent with the pupils to ensure effective learning takes place. The procedure for the study will include identifying the location of the study, research design, target population, sample and sampling procedures, data collection procedures, instrumentation and the data analysis techniques for the research. Stakeholders, non-government organizations and the government should pay more close attention to the girl child to protect her against early marriages, FGM and other forms of inhumane as commonly they are known to the weakest gender. The roles that this government can play is through providing sanitary towels and the government making sure that they regulate the price of these essential items and make them available to remote areas and close to less fortune. Also it is supposed to ensure that there is strict law enforced to any parent who tries to forces her daughter into early marriage and FGM. Adequate learning materials and facilities should also be available so as eradicate illiteracy to ignorant girls and enlighten them in current way of life so that they can be useful in near future and be able to rely on themselves. The school should create a conducive environment where the girl child is safe and create lessons or seminars to make them interact with boys to cut the distance between these two genders. Also parents are supposed to be enlightened on how to collaborate with the education institutions to ensure that the girls is secured and helped in anyway essential way at school and at home because educating a girl child is educating the nation.
