Education is the best legacy a nation can give to her citizens, especially the youth. It is generally believed that the basis for any true development must commence with the development of human resource. To achieve self reliance, it is necessary to incorporate into education systems, time for practicing knowledge and skills and time for experience to nature, that is, for a proper interaction between knowledge and skills (Muturi 2007). According to Sharma (1979) education is defined as an effective weapon to fight out war against ignorance, poverty and diseases, which are root causes of restlessness throughout the world. Therefore without good education a country has no future. Eshiwani (1983) states that, any region of a country lagging behind either in the number of pupils attending schools or those passing national examinations cannot efficiently participate in the democratization of education.en_US
