The objectives of the study will be to establish the impact of training on the implementation of Government policy by secondary school principals with a bias of Kyuso District Kitui County. The study will employ a descriptive survey design and make use of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to collect data. The locale of the study is Kyuso District Kitui county in Eastern province. The study targets16 principals 30 in public secondary schools, 10 out of 13 in private schools and one District Education Officer [DEO] in Kyuso District Kitui County. Both simple random and purposive sampling will be used. The instrument to be used to collect data will include questionnaires and an interview schedule. To evaluate the reliability of the study instruments, they will be piloted on a small representative sample identical to but not included in the group that involved in the actual study. The researcher will evaluate the validity of the content used in the instruments to be developed, and make structural changes for the purpose of improvement and refinement of the research instruments before embarking on the actual data collection. This will enable the researcher to take a first – hand experience in administration of the instruments. Quantitative data will be used for data analysis in this study. The analysed data will be presented by use of frequency tables and percentages which will be later merged and conclusions drawn to establish the relationship between variables.
