In Kenya indiscipline cases have been reported across the country in many secondary schools .many schools have gone on strike and eventually leading to their closure. Indiscipline secondary schools in Uganda have also recorded poor examination results. The same is true for Nigeria, Mauritius and the USA. Indiscipline learners more often than not acquire poor grades. This study is therefore interested in addressing the implications of indiscipline in an effort to improve learners’ academic performance. The objective of the researcher were to find whether home background has any influence on the discipline of the learners. how discipline impacts on learner performance, what school administrations are doing to curb the indiscipline cases in secondary schools and how indiscipline learners affects those who were well behaved. The purpose of this study was to assess the implication of discipline on learner’s academic performance among secondary school students in Limuru zone, Limuru district, Kiambu County The study was significant to students, teachers, parents, principals and society at large, all in their own independent and different ways. The methodology covered the design of the study, the area of the study, the target population of the study, the sample and sampling techniques, the instrument for data collection, methods of data collection and the methods of data analysis.The data was analyzed through the use of tables and graphs.The questions how family influence learners discipline, how indiscipline impacted on the learners performance, what school administrators are doing to curb indiscipline and how discipline learner were affected by the indiscipline learners were studied through the use of questionnaires. The recommendation of the study was made. The out come of the study was discussed and suggestions for further research were given.
