For quite some time, instruction of education had tended to rely on traditional pedagogical approaches. This has always been done through a face-to-face technique. The technique has it that someone would decide what the learner needs to know and would arrange for the learner to learn in a fixed order and on a fixed schedule. Global trends however appear to be placing pressure on the youth to be equipped with skills that would enable them handle issues that affect them after school including career choice. To address this, the use of ICT as a methodology of curriculum implementation is being encouraged in a number of developing countries that have encouraged the use of ICT in schools. This study therefore carried out in Nyatike sub-county secondary schools in Migori County to establish how effective ICT is in enhancing teacher instruction in those selected schools. This study used survey approach to assess the effectiveness of ICT in enhancing teacher instruction. The study intends to make use of various research instruments such as questionnaires, interview guide, and observation schedules to achieve its goal. This study targeted 40 secondary schools in Nyatike Sub-county and thus the target population for this study comprised 40 principals, 80 ICT Teachers and 160 ICT students in Form III all totaling to 280. A sample of 5 principals, 10 ICT teachers and 20 ICT learners was obtained. The collected data was analyzed qualitatively along the study objectives and the basic quantitative data was analyzed using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) Test Analysis in Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS 21). PPMC was useful in establishing relationship between ICT and teacher instruction. The findings of the study were presented using percentages and tables since they summarize large quantities of data and at the same time making the report reader friendly. The study has established that ICT contributes immensely towards teaching and learning process, it enhances accessibility quality education, improves learning environment, and enhances learning motivation and scholastic performance. It thus recommends that education stakeholders should provide adequate and relevant ICT accessories to enhance teacher instruction. Teachers should be trained on ICT and how to apply the skills in classroom instruction. Students should be advised to embrace the use of ICT to enhance their learning and hence improve their performance. School management should provide conducive environment which allow the learners to explore mechanisms of using ICT to enhance creativity. Curriculum planners should continue developing programmes which enhance the effective use of ICT during instruction
